Hyderabad, the “City of Pearls,” is set to make waves in the world of sports with the International Taekwondo Championship League (ITCL). From January 12th to 14th, 2024, the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium will transform into a battleground where twelve powerhouse teams will compete for the inaugural TITLE. ITCL, poised to be on par with illustrious leagues like IPL and Pro Kabaddi, promises an unprecedented spectacle of team-based Taekwondo.
This international extravaganza is blessed by Dr. Chamundeshwari Maharshi and will witness a stellar moment as Mr. Ahmad Hosani, TABC Cultural Ambassador, lends his soulful voice to the Indian National Anthem during the grand inauguration on January 12th. Adding global prestige to the event is our distinguished Chief Guest, Dr. Bu Abdullah, a highly successful Emirati businessman with a vast portfolio of 270 companies.*
Kavitha Srinivasan, a serial entrepreneur from Dubai, UAE and a distinguished author who has won UAE’s Mastermind Awards for her book, “Midnight Musings” comes in as a special guest and guiding force.
In its debut season, ITCL goes beyond being a sports event; it’s a testament to the aspirations of Taekwondo players in India. The objectives are ambitious – to establish Taekwondo as a lucrative career, provide cutting-edge infrastructure and technology, ensure deserved respect and opportunities for players, coaches, and referees, and ultimately secure Gold in various Taekwondo categories nationally and internationally.
