faux-asis to perform a selection of Oasis’ biggest hits on Saturday night
Spectators can look forward to Ladies Day and Family Day at the 19th edition of the event, with general admission tickets free of charge
Stars including Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood confirmed for the tournament, which takes place at Yas Links on November 7-10
With just 50 days to go until the start of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, those Oasis fans who weren’t fortunate enough to secure tickets for next summer’s big reunion concerts can look forward to watching faux-asis, a dedicated tribute act to the Mancunians, perform a whole host of their biggest hits at Yas Links.
The 19th edition of one of the Middle East’s most popular sporting events takes place on November 7-10 in Abu Dhabi, with this year’s event forming part of the inaugural DP World Tour Play-Offs, alongside the DP World Tour Championship, which will be held one week later at Jumeirah Golf Estates.
Already confirmed for the event are four-time Major champion Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood, who claimed the title in both 2017 and 2018. They will be joined by former World Number Ones Adam Scott and Justin Rose, along with DP World Tour winners Robert MacIntyre and Thriston Lawrence.
While the excitement is already starting to build, there is also plenty of entertainment to look forward to away from the golf action.
The tournament village will provide entertainment, food trucks and music on all four days, while free ‘Get into Golf’ clinics will run on the driving range every day.
Ladies Day, on Saturday November 9, includes two free drinks for female ticket holders who can also take advantage of the on-site yoga and wellness classes hosted by Monica Pulgarin, glitter glam stations, and free golf lessons for those spectators who are looking to improve their game, along with an impressive selection of food trucks from local brands.
At the end of the day, fans will be treated to a special performance from faux-asis, the Middle East’s one and only Oasis tribute act, who will be singing many of the band’s most popular hits including Don’t Look Back in Anger, Some Might Say and Champagne Supernova.
Sunday November 10 is Family Day at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, with tickets including access to the Kids’ Zone, where youngsters can enjoy a bouncy castle, face painting, a movie theatre, lots of games and activities, and free ice pops. Children will also be able to take part in the Future Falcons golf zone, and have free lessons and tips from professionals. Spectators attending on Sunday can look forward to a live performance from Alya Al Ali, a hugely talented teenage Emirati singer who released her first single, Hung Up, in 2020.
Additionally, all tickets include an AED 50 discount on all Yas Theme Parks, while Sunday ticket holders can enjoy a 15 percent discount on Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live at Etihad Arena (November 8-10).
