THE CANCER AWARENESS CAMPAIGN COMPLETES 10 YEARS THIS YEAR. LET US RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT BREAST CANCER BY ATTENDING THE SESSIONS, POSTING AND SPREADING THE WORD ABOUT A DISEASE THAT CAN BE CURED THROUGH EARLY DETECTION.
In a world full of entertainment events, it is always a gratifying challenge to venture into an event that inspires and empowers all. The Beyond October Cancer Campaign that I started in 2014 as a Can Defeat Cancer Campaign is just that. A platform for cancer warriors to narrate their stories, the campaign brings to light various stories on women who have suffered and fought breast cancer. It started 10 years ago, with the venue being the Beauty Connections Spa, followed by Danube Home, Radisson Blu, Deira, Crowne Plaza, Dubai Marina and Gargash Hospital, Dubai.
This year, it is called Beyond October: Think Pink, Live Green, and is a campaign that continues to raise awareness about breast cancer but also champions sustainable living – a dual call to action that intertwines health and wellness with environmental consciousness.
Beyond October: Think Pink, Live Green will be hosted at the Dubai International Arts Centre (@diacjumeirah), where attendees will be welcomed to an eco-souq presented by @your.eco.souq.com, 11 am onwards The event will feature eco-friendly products, promoting green living and the importance of sustainability in everyday life.
Innara is supporting Beyond October: Think Pink, Live Green as their CSR initiative and they will have pottery classes at the event for attendees to express their unique sensibilities. Guests can also participate in pottery workshops led by @innaradxb, where they can engage in a creative, hands-on activity that serves as a reminder of the beauty of earth-friendly practices.Your Eco Souq, a souq of eco friendly products will support the event making a case for sustainability and clean living. Guddi Bajaj, Founder, Innara and Barkha Bahirwani, have been active partners to enhance Beyond October ‘s initiative.
