REFLECTIONS – Stories That Matter: A Global Artistic Dialogue
Curated by Jesno Jackson | Organized by Art4you Gallery | January 25–31, 2025 | Mehromah Art House, Dubai

Dubai, UAE: As “REFLECTIONS – Stories That Matter” takes place from January 25 to January 31, 2025, the Mehromah Art House will develop into a center for creative storytelling. This worldwide show, which is produced by Art4you Gallery and curated by Jesno Jackson, has sixteen artists from twelve different countries who use painting, sculpture, and installation to tell captivating stories.

“REFLECTIONS” is a moving examination of resiliency, change, and cultural identity. Art has traditionally been a window into human experience. Inspiring debates, the show explores heritage, migration, gender, and environmental concern via personal and socially important issues.

Artists and Their Narratives:

From Tunisia, Abir Ouertani’s ceramic sculptures embody nature’s resilience and interconnectedness through intricate, organic forms, while Clarisse Meneghetti’s (Brazil) bold abstractions captures the evolution of cultural identity through layered textures, Eric Afranie(Ghana) channels ancestral wisdom to symbolize sustainability into mixed media storytelling and Tatiana Lamiri ( Russia/ Morocco) explores bicultural; duality redefining femininity. Vasilisa Eliseeva (Russia) visualizes subconscious journeys that reflect on life’s fleeting yet profound nature, while Iranian artists, Shakiba Rabiei presents “Order in Turmoil Effect”, a mixed media piece embodying chaos and clarity. Roya Vahidi highlights the essence of human existence – interconnectedness and resilience while Mehboobeh Shahnavas use symbolism to amplify timeless portrayal of innocence & strength, blending cultural richness with profound sensitivity.

Curator Jesno Jackson (India) collectively celebrate nature’s profound harmony and beauty, each capturing a fleeting moment of transition and reflection. Yaashi Khatanhar’s breathtaking journey of Mughal richness and Renaissance grace unite in a reimagined tribute to elegance and style. Through an emotive exploration of color, texture, and form, Thauheeda Thameem’s series captures the essence of human emotions—hope, resilience, stillness, and transformation, while Elyazia Aljassmi (UAE) reflects vision of the human spirit harmonizing with the natural world. Tamara Noori (Srilanka) pay tribute to the timeless connection between the Emirati people, their traditions, and nature. Rija Umar (Pakistan) reflects on memory and social constructs – The Tragic Love of Poseidon and Medusa, while Labiba Ferhat (Algeria) captures the essence of Algeria’s past, blending historical pride with modern aesthetics that reimagines urban memory through layered compositions.
