Abu Dhabi, 1 September 2025: The third day of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting & Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) 2025 concluded with a notable display of tradition, expertise and community engagement. The event continued to reinforce its reputation as a premier gathering dedicated to the preservation and advancement of Emirati heritage.

Organised by ADNEC Group, a Modon Holding company, in cooperation with the Emirates Falconers’ Club, ADIHEX 2025 is the largest event of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa dedicated to the celebration of Emirati culture and heritage along with hunting, equestrianism and outdoor sports.

A highlight of the day was the highly anticipated ADIHEX camel auction, held at the Live Arena, which drew significant participation from breeders and enthusiasts. The auction achieved total sales of AED 1,770,000. Since its inception in 2005, this auction has served as a cornerstone of the exhibition, offering purebred Arabian racing camels of distinguished lineage. The competitive bidding reflected both the esteemed cultural value and the significant economic importance of these animals within the region. The auction’s success further emphasised the enduring appeal and relevance of traditional camel breeding and racing.

Monday’s auction drew a remarkable turnout from camel owners, breeders, and enthusiasts across the UAE and further afield, reinforcing the enduring significance of this heritage sport. Camels have an enduring appeal in Emirati culture, representing an ancient link to the past and a living tradition and respect for animal husbandry that continues to inspire today.

A Outdoor Leisure vehicle experience

Through the Outdoor Leisure Vehicle Equipment sector and the RV’s & Caravans sector, ADIHEX has become prime destinations for a diverse community of off-road and desert driving enthusiasts, where daily life is closely connected to the desert landscape and outdoor pursuits. The car dealerships and manufacturers present at ADIHEX showcased top-of-the-line vehicles, fully outfitted with features designed for off-road and desert terrains, with exhibitors such as RV Bin Lahej, the RV’s and Caravan Sponsor of ADIHEX 2025, offering up to 50% discounts on caravans at ADIHEX, providing visitors with exclusive offers and special discounts.

Additionally, three falcons were awarded falcon raffles. These raffles underscored the centrality of falconry in UAE culture and provided unique opportunities for attendees to engage directly with this time-honoured practice.

Knowledge Hub highlight sessions

Within the Knowledge Hub, a workshop led by Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Hood Al Shinqeeti of the Abu Dhabi Police Medical Services Department addressed critical aspects of wilderness medicine. The comprehensive session included guidance on field first aid and travel vaccinations, as well as essential preventive strategies for outdoor expeditions. Dr. Al Shinqeeti’s expertise provided participants with the knowledge necessary to ensure safety and preparedness in challenging environments, thereby supporting the broader objective of promoting responsible and informed outdoor activity.

The day also featured an in-depth presentation by Dr. Zubair Medammal, a respected falconry specialist with over three decades of experience, including foundational research at the Sheikh Zayed Falcon Hospital. Dr. Medammal offered a historical perspective on the evolution of falconry, tracing its roots to nearly 10,000 years ago and highlighting its integral role in Emirati hunting traditions.

He elaborated on falcon hunting techniques, the use of traditional equipment, and the vital importance of conservation. In particular, Dr. Medammal referenced the release of falcons by Sheikh Zayed three decades prior, illustrating the lasting impact of these efforts on the rehabilitation and preservation of wild falcon populations.

As the third day concluded, ADIHEX 2025 reaffirmed its commitment to upholding cultural heritage, disseminating specialized knowledge, and advancing conservation initiatives. The exhibition remains a distinguished forum for the celebration and perpetuation of the UAE’s enduring traditions.
