The World’s best padel tour will be back in Dubai from November 9-16 across four indoor courts with the guaranteed presence of the game’s top players who will compete at the biggest court ever done in the United Arab Emirates

Dubai, UAE – May 6, 2025:Following the resounding success of the inaugural Dubai Premier Padel P1 tournament in late 2024, which had an impressive attendance of 24,000 spectators, the emirate’s elite international padel Championship will return bigger and better than before, moving to a new venue and taking place from November 9-16. Discounted early-bird tickets for the event’s much-anticipated second edition officially go on sale today.

Organisers Gallop Global revealed a surge in interest and padel’s ever-increasing popularity has led to the switch in venue, from the 5,000-capacity Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium to the 15,000-capacity Hamdan Sports Complex, the largest indoor sports facility in the Middle East. The new venue – which sprawls 24 hectares and is one of the biggest multi-purpose facilities in the world –will be split in two with Centre Court taking up half the event space and three secondary courts also in operation. Besides, two practice courts will be open to watch the best in action warming up for their games.

The layout sees Centre Court alone designed to fit upwards of 7,000 spectators, a record-setting capacity in the United Arab Emirates, and the climate-controlled facility is sure to prove a popular choice among the growing number of padel lovers in the region. With every Centre Court ticket, the access to other competition courts will be free of charge, further demonstrating organisers’ commitment to inclusion and accessibility.

The first phase of ticketing for this year’s second edition officially launched today on Platinumlist.com, with early bird prices starting from Dh36 for the General Admission category.

The Championship’s prize purse has also increased marginally across the men’s and women’s categories, rising from €470,000 (Dh1.96m) to €474,500 (Dh1.98m) underscoring the marquee event’s status on the Middle East sporting calendar. The 240-player field is expected to include all elite competitors from around the globe, including current World No1 men’s pairing – and 2024 winners – Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia, as well as female’s top ranked players Ari Sanchez and Paula Josemaria.

Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Padel Association (UAEPA), said: “The launch of the Dubai Premier Padel P1 in 2024 was a historic milestone for the sport, which has rapidly grown in popularity in the UAE. We eagerly anticipate the second edition coming to the emirate in November and from the UAEPA we are proud to support the biggest tournament in our country.”

His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Hareb, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council, added: “The return of Dubai Premier Padel P1 on the Middle East sporting calendar underscores the growing prominence of the sport in the region, and indeed worldwide. We look forward to welcoming even more spectators at this year’s tournament in what is guaranteed to generate a special atmosphere inside the state-of-the-art Hamdan Sports Complex.”

The event marks the first time the multi-sport facility will host an official padel tournament, having previously held basketball, badminton, swimming, tennis, volleyball, and water polo, among other events.

Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), said: “Hosting major sporting events like Dubai Premier Padel P1 significantly boosts Dubai’s economy, aligning with our visionary leadership’s aspiration to make Dubai the world’s best city to visit, live, and work in. This also supports the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33 to further consolidate Dubai’s position as a leading global destination for business and leisure. The inaugural edition was a great success, and we look forward to seeing the event at a new venue that will provide a world-class experience for visiting athletes and spectators.”

Ivan Modia, Dubai Premier Padel P1 Tournament Director and CEO of Gallop Global, added: “Padel is a global phenomenon and there is no doubt in my mind that this sport will continue to evolve, especially in the UAE. After a strong first edition with 24,000 people in attendance and the immeasurable support of our 15 partners, we have made some significant changes to the event, especially in terms of the venue. With the invaluable support of the UAE’s visionary leadership and wider governing bodies, we are confident of delivering a successful second edition this coming November in the biggest padel court ever built in the country.”

Padel in the UAE is governed by the UAEPA, which was one of Asia’s first padel federations when it was established in 2014. That same year, the Emirates’ General Authority of Sports promised full Government support and decreed the official recognition of padel as a sport. Within two years, the UAEPA was affiliated with the International Padel Federation (FIP) and the country is now home to close to 1,000 courts, which represents 30 per cent of padel courts in Asia and two per cent of all courts worldwide.

Powered by visionary leadership, state‑of‑the‑art infrastructure, and a culture that welcomes innovation, Dubai continues to attract and stage top‑tier global sporting competitions.

Beyond the high-octane on-court action, the week-long Championships will also have plenty of entertainment off the court, ensuring an unparalleled experience for padel enthusiasts.
