January 10, 2024, Dubai, UAE – Improving one’s fitness and well-being is among the top priority goals when it comes to New Year’s resolutions, according to various surveys across the world. It is timely then that BK Shivani, one of India’s most sought-after motivational speakers and renowned for promoting wellbeing and self-care through the practice of spirituality, will be inspiring thousands of health and wellness professionals and enthusiasts during her visit to Dubai this weekend.

Sister Shivani, as she is fondly called, will be kicking off her talk-themed “The Healer Within” at the 2nd International AYUSH Conference and Exhibition that will take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre on January 13-15. A practitioner and teacher of Raja Yoga Meditation which is taught worldwide by the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University, her pragmatic approach to spirituality has brought more than 838 million views on her YouTube Channel and over 7.4 million followers on her social media.

Awareness on ways to improve one’s well-being and lifestyle has been steadily growing in the UAE and medical treatment based on Indian healthcare systems such as Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Sowa Rigpa, and Homeopathy or commonly known as AYUSH have gained traction over the years in the country and are recognized by health authorities as a complementary and alternative approach to improving one’s overall health.

Organized by Science India Forum and the World Ayurveda Foundation, the AYUSH conference and exhibition is supported by India’s Ministry of AYUSH as well as by key health and education authorities in the UAE.

During her previous meetings with Dubai residents in 2021, she touched upon the importance of ‘yoga for the mind’ over one’s emotional immunity which is connected to physical immunity. “There are two immunities – one is physical immunity, and the other is emotional immunity. If I take care of my physical immunity, and that is very good, which is with diet and my yoga practice, but if I am creating fear and anxiety, it has an impact on the immunity of the body. We can never heal the body independently. Mind and body will have to go together because the mind’s vibrations radiate to the body,” she said. She will also be speaking on the topic “Compassionate Connections” at the BITS Pilani Campus in Academic City on January 13 and a special talk in Hindi language on peaceful and stable mind on January 14.
