THE POWER OF RED: A Striking Art Exhibition That Spoke from the Heart

May 2, 2025

Dubai; The “Seeing RED” Art Exhibition, held from April 12 to 18, 2025, at Mehromah Art Gallery in Dubai, was a powerful and emotional showcase of creativity. Curated by Jesno Jackson, founder of Art4you Gallery, the exhibition featured 45 artworks by 30 artists, all centered around one strong theme – the colour RED.

Red is a colour full of meaning. It stands for passion, love, courage, anger, strength, and energy. From deep burgundy to bright scarlet, red has the ability to grab attention and touch emotions. The exhibition allowed each artist to explore red in their own way, using it to tell stories, express feelings, and share their ideas. Through this exhibition, Curator wanted to showcase how red can embody both vulnerability and strength. Artists were encouraged to explore its duality, its beauty, its rage, and they did so with immense depth.

The artworks covered a wide range of styles from abstract to figurative, from mixed media to conceptual. Every piece had a story behind it. Some artists used red to show strength and confidence, while others used it to reflect love, pain, or inner struggle. The results were stunning and very personal. One artwork used crimson layers to show emotional growth. Another, a powerful portrait, showed a woman surrounded by feathers, and another artwork showed a symbol of strength and change with the 5-element series. Each painting invited visitors to stop, feel, and think.
